Director Park, chong won

Director Park was born in Seoul,  1958.
He graduated  in Film making director's course from Hanyang Univ.
After that, he entered the Korean Academy of Film Art. In that institution
he  majored in film making director's course and finished the course with honors in a year.

He made 3 movies as an assistant director for director Lee, Doo-Yong.
After the apprenticeship, he made his debut film ¡ºKuro-Arirang¡»in 1989.
That film was released with 20 shorts cut by the censorship.
He made his second film¡ºOur Twisted Hero¡»in 1992.
His third film¡ºEternal Empire¡»was released in 1995.
He made his forth and latest film¡ºRainbow Trout¡»in 1999.

Since 1995, he has been a professor in the Korean National University of Arts,
School of Film & Multimedia  Department of Film Making.

Invited and screened at the 16th Montreal Festival Des Films Du Monde.    Got the Best Producer Award.

Got the East West Center Award.

Got the Int'l Film Critics' Award.
